CIVIC to develop new Glenmore Lodge website

In January 2010, CIVIC was appointed to lead the development of sportscotland's digital communications strategy across 10 individual websites. We've now been appointed to design and develop the new website for Scotland's national outdoor training centre, Glenmore Lodge.
Located in Cairngorms National Park, Glenmore Lodge aims to inspire adventure by teaching beginners, coaching intermediate/advanced and delivering training and assessment courses for leaders and instructors. The new website will convey the personality and experience of Glenmore Lodge's instructors while also looking to increase interest and bookings from a wider audience.
Glenmore Lodge can be found on Twitter @Glenmore_Lodge

CIVIC goes wild for Advocates for Animals

The protection and welfare of Scotland's animals is a subject close to many of us, with the country's leading animal protection charity, Advocates for Animals, prioritising public engagement in challenging lifestyle, attitudes and behaviour.
We're pleased to have been appointed to work with Advocates for Animals on a new campaign which will use digital media to harness public support in the charity’s fight to ban the use of snares to trap animals and will build on the charity's ethos: HumanKind. AnimalKind. OneKind. The appeal will also target MSPs in the run up to a vote on the Wildlife and Natural Environment Bill in the Scottish Parliament planned for late 2010.
John Robertson, Advocates For Animals Communications Officer, says: "We want to engage the public and believe that CIVIC can create a positive and compassionate campaign that is urgent and inspiring. We were really impressed by how prepared they were – they did their homework on us and created a very detailed and creative outline proposal for a digital campaign."
We’ll have more information on the campaign soon, but in the meantime you can follow Advocates for Animals on Twitter at @onekindtweet
